Got some Gulf rock the other day and had this anemone. Need ID please. I think it's a red warted anemone. Base is red. Note two florescent orange tentacles and florescent mouth. About 2" tip to tip.

LR.com lists a type of "sponge anemone" on their website which this could very well be although they do not suggest a species. I would think it could be related to the Curlycue anemone (Bartholomea annulata).

Kinda what I thought too.

I also bought the book they use for their reference. Book says they live in sponges and don't get this big. This is the only thing I can come up with as well. thanks Steve.
