Macroalgae

This red stuff sponaneously grew up among my macroalgae. I really like the color that it adds, but i'm wondering what it is, and whether there are any harmful side effects

I can't tell from the pic. What does it feel like? Is it slimy?

It's not slimy. If feels like a very delicate plant.

It looks like it could be red turf algae (Asparagopsis sp.) but I'm not sure.

It doesn't look like the godawful red macro I got in my tank....but otherwise I have no idea. Asparagopsis is a good place to start.

Perhaps it could be fuchia. Here is a picture of that.

That is possible. With out a good close up shot of it there is no way for us to really tell.
