I have a Fluval Edge and am trying saltwater for the first time! Two new corals...first ones actually...one I learned her is a button polyp. The other??? Thanks!

Looks like there's alot of diotoms on your rock. How long has tour tank been running?

Yes there are. They just bloomed this week. Has been running 15 days today. Added the clown on Friday. At this stage, good yes???
Water was tested twice before adding fish. Had to reduce salinity and then waited 24 and retested. Added the corals Saturday.

Hard to say, usually corals need a more established tank but zoas are pretty hardy! Do you have your own liquid test kit? If not I would highly recommend it!

Thanks for input. A test kit is next on my list! Any brands to avoid?

Looking at an API Master Saltwater test kit? About $25 on eBay.
