this is on some live rock i got. can you tell me what it is? and requirements?

Kinda looks like a sponge of some sort, in which case you don't need to feed it, but I am not positive.

I am not positive either. I have seen certain species if leather like sinularia sp. that can lok similar when really stressed. But that looks like it's prety hard. Does the appearance and size ever change. If not I would lean toward sponge or even an encrusting type of stoney. From the pic it is hard to tell. Texture? Have you touched it?

no haven't touched it, it does chang colors a bit from brown/ orange to a bright orange, the texture looks bumpy with two to three mouth type things
