Possible Algae

Can anyone tell me what these things growing on my sand bed could be? They are right in the center of this photo. They actually look like wheat with the exception of the color of course.

Dang. I do normal water changes, I wonder what could be causing it.

probably tagged along on some rock or something

yes you can just pluck it out

you can toss it in the sump
