Purple growth

Hi, can someone tell me what these are, growing on the back of my rock? Thanks

There are about three of them. Roughly half a cm tall.

They are very small stick like
A reddish /purple stick of calcifed worm tube ?

There are things called foraminiferans that look like purple coralline.

Yes slow is the way. Had tropical before but when in the lfs I always wanted marine. Far more satisfying .

Seeing as you are only 6 weeks in have you completely finished the cycle yet ?

Yes it cycled after week 4. If not before, as I was reading my trates wrong.. I test my water every other day and all is good apart from trates which is between 10-20. Water changes have been getting that down. My ammonia is always nil which is a good as I feed my clowns every other day. So I presume my live rock is doing its job. I also cycled using a prawn.
