Well i'm up another night due to a very painful mouth....anyway...I added a very nice red feather star yesterday,When i looked in the tank this morning most of it's legs looked like they had been severed.Although it was still moving around.
As the day has gone on though it seems most of the legs are detached. Not sure if it's still living.

Any ideas???

Sounds like it's dying. Feather stars are one of those things that should be left in the ocean. They have a very dismal survival rate. They are filter feeders and require a constant supply of food to do well. If it's at the point you are describing where it's limbs are dropping off, I'd hold little hope of a recovery. They are normally doomed before you even purchase them. Sorry.

Thanx for that.
It did die.Don't think I will be purchasing anymore.
