sand conch - same as fighting conch, Strombus alatus?

my LFS has sand conch's for sale, $12.99 each (this IS Nebraska, prices are rough)
are sand conch's the same as fighting conch's...Strombus alatus ?

if so, they help stir up the sand right?
would 2 of those in my 40 gallon, which as 2 turbo snails, and a sand sifting star, work well? I don't wanna over do it, but I'm having some cyano issues, and I think having a better diversity of cleaners and sand sifters would probably help.

I'm going tonight after work to pickup a false perc and a royal gramma, so I can grab the 2 conch then if the forum thinks it wise.

Don't quote me as I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's a Strombus Luhuanus. Still a good addition to a tank but I would add not more than one. For a 40 gal tank, your clean up crew is actually quite light and not very diverse. I would suggest adding a few more snails. Cerith, nassarius, margarita, nerite and trochus. Whichever you can find add about 10-15 more mixed types to the tank. Each will contribute moreso to different areas of the tank. No more than 2-3 of each at most should be needed.

Cheers
Steve
