Shrimp or "Sand Flea"?

A few weeks back I noticed something really tiny jetting in different directions in my aquarium.

Tonight, while sitting infront of my aquarium just watching it, I noticed something "dancing" in the water again, but much bigger.

Apparently the tiny spec grew up to now almost being a 1/4" big.

At first I assumed it was a baby shrimp that some how ended up in my aquarium, but after searching for answers online, I stumbled upon the possibility it is a "sand flea" or Mole Crab I think is the proper name.

Maybe its something totally different!

That is an amphipod. They are good scavengers.

It couldn't be a sand flea. Those are cold water only to my knowledge.

I have several that seem to reproduce under my clam and my mandarin loves them!!
