Some stuff in mg coral, pls help

I noticed a beehive-like in my coral in the hole a thread-like goes in and out. Is this really part of the coral?

no. it's not part of the coral. It's a creature that's lived on that rock before the coral encrusted over it. the coral will not cover it, and the creature will not hurt the coral.
did you know that you can feed that pectinia meaty foods? contrary to the copy and paste info you'll find on most websites, it's an LPS.
