no, it's not a tunicate, i have a bunch of those too. i know, the pic is aweful. it's prolly a sponge the more i look at it.

I had a cluster of orange tunicates that kinda looked like that but they would retract everytime a fish swam by. But, yeah, probably a sponge then.
