Something in my wet/dry sump

Can anyone tell me what this is. Is it good or bad? I only see the one, and it just appeared a day or so ago. The tank has been running for about 6 months. No corals just fish and base rock in the tank itself.

I have the same thing(s) in my sump except they are white. I wish I knew what they are.
Did anyone ever get back to you on this?

No, I have not received any response. Mine is still there. It has not moved or changed in size and I do not see any others. I think it is some type of "Pod" not sure if it is good or bad. I hope not bad as I can not get to it.

Look up hydroids. They have different stages of growth. Could be one of those.
