Something new popped up

I noticed something new. I have a Gorgonian and I recently noticed something new at the base of the Gorgonian. To me it looks like a baby anemone. I do have a Haitian Reef Anemone so I was thinking maybe the anemone split or something. I am including a before and after of the Gorgonian & a pic of my Haitian Reef Anemone. If you look close at the pics of the Gorgonian you can see what I’m talking about that looks like an anemone.Click image for larger version

That’s aiptasia. Bad hitchhiker. You can hit it with aiptasia x or inject it with kalkwasser paste to kill it.

So aiptasia will kill that Gorgonian? If so, how long do I have to kill it before it starts killing things in my tank? Thanks for the help
