Sponge? Its a mystery to me...

This has been a slow grower in a FOWLR tank. It almost looks like a sponge in structure, but not like I've seen.

Any thoughts on what this is and whether or not it's good to keep?

I assume it will be a docile "good to keep" resident with the rest of the gang?

(Gang consists of hermits, snails, emerald crabs, Sally Lightfoot crab, yellow-tail damsels, false-perc clowns, and Auriga Butterfly)
