Star shaped thing

This star-shaped thing is attached to the glass of my tank. It's about half the width of a dime. And it moves. Any ideas?

It's an Asterina star. Most of these little stars are algae grazers and usually only visible at night, but if you have acro corals or clams in the tank, you'll want to watch it.

Acros are hard coral that need intense light right?

Yes, acropora corals are hard corals that require higher light. As far as I know, they aren't a threat to soft corals. I've edited my first post to include a link with some info on them.

i have a ton of them in my reef with no problems,but i only have shrooms,leathers,softies no hard corals
