It's an Asterina star. Most of these little stars are algae grazers and usually only visible at night, but if you have acro corals or clams in the tank, you'll want to watch it.
Yes, acropora corals are hard corals that require higher light. As far as I know, they aren't a threat to soft corals. I've edited my first post to include a link with some info on them.
