Taking care of a giant clam?

Alright so a good friend of mine has quite a few of these (as well as a much larger tank) and while I was gone he gave me a smaller one as a gift. Question is does anyone have any experience with these? I know I can ask him but I also want to know from other successful clam owners?

High light and moderate flow. Also clams use a lot of calcium, so test that too.
