Tang ID please?

We got this Tang but cannot find the exact type. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Definitely acanthurus.sp. Possibly a black surgeon or monk tang - acanthurus gahhm. They grow to 16".

I found the article, looks identical but the one I got was found in the Atlantic off the coast of Florida. Shallow water, he is a grayish color with the very prominent white band at his tail.
