Think I found a mantis shrimp!

This little guy is so cool looking! At first I thought he was a bug, because he's neon green. After I caught him I realized he looks like a mantis shrimp. I don't want to kill him, but I also don't want to put him back in any of my tanks. What should I do? I thought about setting up a species only tank to watch him grow. He's only about an inch now.

I just set him up in his own little 1gal until he gets bigger

If you have a sump in your system, you can move him there. But a species only tank will be some fun!
