this came off my coral?

I noticed this was on my star polyps, and now it seems to have detached and be out and about on my tank. Any idea what it is?

Looks like a zoanthid polyp.

is like a slug with a hard shell looks like a finger nail. if so then its a stomatella not sure on the spelling they are good algae eaters. i have a few

Thank you for the opinions, it could well be a zoanthid polyp. I was just wondering since it was on the rock that the star polyps came on. Any other opinions are still welcome, though
