I noticed what seemed to be a swarm of tiny bugs on the glass behind one of my powerheads. They are no bigger than the tip of a needle. A few of my snails like to hangout in that corner, so I'm thinking they might be eating them, but the snails don't really move much when they are there, so maybe not. I have no clue. They look brownish in color, almost like little specks of grain flour.

Besides from that, I found another little Aiptasia (at least I'm fairly certain that's what it is). It may be 3mm in length. He sucks in the rock when I get near him, so I'm going to use the Aiptasia-X on him. I'm also pretty sure I have diatoms on my live rock. It's been a lovely aquarium day :banghead:

How new is your tank? I know recently I missed a couple water changes and when I did a large water change I had a huge diatom outbreak. It looked really bad and I didn't really want anyone to see it but they burned out in like a week. I am interested in the little bugs... I haven't had any hitchhikers yet but I guess in a way that is good too...

It's been running about 5 or 6 weeks. The coloration appeared almost overnight and I expect it to go away. I'm not using tapestry so im not too worried about that.

The mite looking things have me raising a brow, however. I only have a few turbos and a CC starfish right now, so if it is a parasite, hopefully they won't be affected.

So, I noticed some white flatworms in my tank a while back, I've got about 3 or 4, and from what I read, they should be harmless. I just saw him going to town on the bug things and eating them up.

I dont think thats an aiptasia, it looks to me like a barnacle....

It has a stem coming from the rock, so that led me to think it was Aiptasia.

Noticed small white tubules in the same area today. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
