trying to identify ?

live rock in a 30 gal tank(2 years old) low bio load has recently developed small "tentacles" protruding from rocks in a hap hazard way. about 1/2 inch long. tank includes 1 dwarf hawkfish. 1 small frogspawn 1 aussie torch coral some basic cleanup crews. i had put a small green button in tank but i think it was consumed??? by a snail. water tests are good . i can try to take a pic. and post if necc. any one know what i am talking about based on this description ? tx ray

Sounds like an aiptasia or majano to me. Google image search it and see if it matches if you can't get a picture to show us.
