unknown coral

I picked this up from the lfs and the owner wasn't sure what it was. I'm hoping it looks familiar to someone.

TIA

Looks like a pagoda cup to me.

A picture when the polyps aren't extended would help verify.

I would want to see it closed up. I can see a bit of pagoda cup look to it, but it also could be a gonipora.

Agreed, and from the look of the pic more likely than gonipora, although alveoporas usually suffer the same fate.

Here's a picture that I snapped first thing this morning. It was just one of those corals that caught my eye. It's a tiny little thing-no more than say 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2"

Looks like a pagoda coral. I think DT's first guess was correct.

I agree. It looks to be more of an "encrusting" coral, I say pagoda as well.

It`s a little far back to tell but does it look like this up close. If so it`s a pagoda cup as the others said.

it looks very close, other than the color (although I'd MUCH rather have your coral-it's beautiful).

Excellent! Thank you for your help.
