Urgent urchin ID

I found this up by the glass with a tepee of shell pieces over it. Is this a baby urchin? It is about 1/2 inch in dia. and looks spiny. I do have a pencil urchin in the aquarium. (see attachment)

almost certainly an urchin, spines are a little thin for the pencils I'm familiar with, but could a pencil (picture is kinda fuzzy).

It almost looks like a colored pincushion.

ummm, yea, figured that part out. Still fuzzy, even placed the pic in photo editing software that I have to try and getter a better view, but cant make out enough for positive ID. Camera didnt seem to focus on the urchin, or photo was taken at low resolution.
