Weird strands on glass

Today as my lights started to turn on, I noticed these weird stands of what look like some kind of egg on the glass. Any ideas what they are?

Yep. While you have been sleeping, your snails have been "getting busy". Now, they will either grow (less likely) or become free fish food (more likely).

I'd rather snail eggs than something that'll destroy my tank in a flash any day.
