What do I have in my tank?

I think I somehow got rag worms on the chaeto I bought.they are about an inch in length. They look like this. Google Images

Do I have to get rid of them or can I put them in the dt?

those are bristle worms and they are harmless scavengers.

I would say in small to moderate numbers yes. Too many can become a pain
