what is this?

i have several polyps on this rock, but i also have these brown things. is it a sponge or what? (they are on the far right) also, to the left of the brown "sponges" i have bubbles. they look like algae bubbles but are rock hard. any ideas?

the second picture is of this tree i have. is it a gorgonian sea fan?

The bubbles are bubble algae. This article should get you started on getting rid of it. Its the last kind of algae mentioned there. (Valonia spp.) It can be a real pain to get rid of. Also do a search of the forums for bubble algae and you will get a ton of other threads about it which will have links on getting rid of it as well. Not sure about the other stuff though sorry.
 
Looks like bubble alge on the left. Don't pop it. it'll spread. Ugly stuff IMO.

I believe it is a gorgonia fwiw. May need to target feed phytoplankton for continued success.
 
The brown tubular colony are of Isaurus, Snake polyps of the Family Zoanthidae.
