What is this?

Sorry for the poor photo, but I got this live rock yesterday
with a bonus piece of something on it and I forgot what
he said it was. Any ideas out there. Looks like a lime green
flowery grassy thing:confused:. There are about 8 or 9 of them.

Look like green star polyps to me. Once they get started growing in your tank, they will run wild.
 
They are green star polyps. Write back in about a year and see if you are still as keen on seeing them going wild in the tank ;) They can start to cover everything like a plague.

I've started to get mine to grow on the rear glass of the tank. Best place for it if you want to prune it later on.

I can't wait to see that. I think they are pretty. They have a long way to go!
