What is this???

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could help me identify this stuff...
The white stringy stuff on my rock is growing. I have googled and googled but i am more confused than ever... And the other stuff that is on the bottom of my tank. Dont know if they are hydroids or not cuz it hasnt stung me... Please help me guys....i have been racking my brain trying to identify this white stringy stuff. Thanks for all ideas and help

How old is the tank?

Yes- as of Sunday the nitrates and so forth came in at 0 . I think tho my ph is a little low, gotta retest it, I had a slight issue with the strip as to where I dropped it. So needless to say I do have to re do that .
