Hey all got this from my LFS and forgot what they called it any ideas will help...

I dont think it is xenia. I cant remember the name of it but its taller and skinnier. If I think of the name I will re post.
 
Fat base stalk, topped by thinner stalks that terminate in feathery, eight armed polyps sounds like the basic description of the Xenia genus to me. There are multiple species in the genus, and you may have seen this particular one under a different name, Pom-Pom coral comes to mind.
 
Once you have a more moderate flow on it, and if you water contains all of the necessary minerals you should see the heads pulsating. Then you will know you have a Xenia on your hands.
 
Look up anthelia sp. I think that is what you have. Very possible they are the same genus as xenia.
