what is this?

i don't know what this is, i got it attached to my starburst polyps, i call it a pimple. it opens up when the lights are off. can somebody tell me what this is?

I can't tell. Is it soft or does it close up into a stoney tube? When you say, close up, does the whole thing disappear or just the tentacles?
 
maybe this is a better picture... it feels soft, the tentacles goes back in during the day

Hmm, I have no idea. :? I'll search around and try to find out what it is. Maybe steve-s will see your post and have an idea.
 
My best guess is some type of anemone. I'd just keep an eye on it and what how it grows. Maybe once it gets a bit bigger, it will be easier to identify.
 
The only thing that comes to mind is some type of hydroid. Possibly hydractinia milleri :?:
