This clear looking thing is growing among my mushrooms and polyps.
I have not noticed it before.

looks like Aiptasia, a pest Anemones, to me. If others concur that it is Aips, get some Joes Juice to eliminate it before it spreads.

My first thought was aptasia as well.

Same here... get rid of it.. hot water in a baster, but thats pretty close to your other corals, so maybe the joes jiuce wouldbe better

What are the various ways to get rid of aptasia, and what are the pro's and con's of each? Will the stuff keep turning up from now on?

I have had a SW tank for some time, but have only ventured into reef stuff a couple months ago...
