what is this coral?

i was at Petco today and couldn't resist this fella, esp. when i have a couple coupons to spend. he's labeled as "open brain coral" (doesn't sound right to me), so help me out here AA. he's 6inches by 5inches at least. don't ask me why it's in a bag inside of a planted tank, that's a different story for a different day. here are the pics.

I don't think it is a chalice. The skeleton structure looks like an acan echinata but I could be wrong.

they had it for 60 and because I had some rewards and coupon, it came down to 45 plus tax

i agree with you. The only reason I put that name up is because of the bumpiness you see around the edge of the chalice. whereas this guy is bumpy throughout
