What is this growing in my coral

Hi,
This has bee growing in my coral for weeks now and finally thought i should do something about it.

Any ideas on what it is and how to get rid of it?

just to clarify -- i am referring to the maroon stringy looking things.
 
Look up nudibranchs
Did you dip your coral before adding it to your display tank?
 
I did not dip it before putting in tank, but did dip it a few weeks afterwards - mid Dec. I used CoralRx and saw a few little swimmers fall off. The bottle i bought from LFS actually "expired" the day i bought it and was able to exchange it today -- so i dipped again and about 7 very tiny grey things fell off again.

These maroon things seem to be organic and not animal. (not sure if i am using correct use of words here, but hopefully it makes sense.)
 
I think coral RX is pine oil, and I doubt that has an expiration date. That does look like some sort of algae to me also. I would try and pick it off with tweezers I suppose. Have you tried touching it?
 
Yes, I tried tweezers and a little piece broke off. It appears to be in there pretty firm, but will try it again today.
