To add to Hanks recommendation, here is another that will work fine for you. I would remove the optics when you get it though, or you might find the spread to be a bit narrow.

Alright thanks!!! That's a big help for me guys thanks for helping me with that I'll look into it and see if I can buy them. Now for a 40gal how big of a light would I need I got this tank perfectly?

What are the dimensions? Is this a 40 breeder style tank? If so, you can use 1 unit if you hang it at a reasonable height.

The dimensions are L-30" W-12" and D- 19"

Light is going to be spilling over the front and back of the tank,. but 1 fixture will cover what's inside for sure.
