What is this red tree

This red tree thing has been there but it was small and didn't think much of it but now it is big just wondered what it is and if I should remove it.

Yes it's a form of macro algea.

Generally I've found that most of the larger red algaes are much slower growing and tend to be ok if left, if you like it. Some of the smaller species on the other hand can become very invasive very quikcly.

Looks to me like gracilaria.
It can grow up to 18 inch and is a lovely looking macro algae

My foxface would love to much on that lol, I can remember getting some red bamboo macro (think it was scinaia) for £20 and it lasted 2 days, expensive meal for foxy !
