What is this thing!?!?

I forgot to turn my lights on today and came home and turned them on and this thing freaked out and started to shrivel up I managed to get a couple picture before it retreated into my rock

Thing is it retracted all the way into the rock and haven't seen it since that was my first time ever seeing it too

But can a feather duster tube collapse in on itsel because it like sucked the tube inward in never seen it before

That's what I thought too but wasn't sure if it was or not mainly because it was so big

They get pretty big I had one that stretched out 6 inches

Yea I freaked when I first saw it as well if you can watch it come out its pretty cool aswell they just keep growing haha

That's the second one I have I have a blue and white peanut worm as well with this big brown one so this is awesome
