I have this white slimey stuff in my tank and it is an eyesore. Does anyone know what it is? I was wondering does anyone else have this problem? And how can I get rid of it? pH is 8 and all perameters are 0ppm.
thanks

What animals do you have in the tank if any, LR? Looks like either animal slime or worms. The pics are not defined enough.

I have a six lined wrasse, a bta, various corals, and other inverts like hermit crabs and snails. I have about 50lbs of lr. It is not worms. It is most definietly slime.

Could easily be slime from the BTA or one of the coral then. If you see it more commonly first thing in the AM when the lights come on, it could be from the wrasses cacoon.

Either way, it's not a concern. Skimming and carbon use will remove it.
