Hi can anyone identify this creature it looks like a snail but has a flat shell that is small compared to it's body so looks more like a slug. Is it reef safe ? It is under my clam in the pic so removed it for the mean time until I know it's safe any help is much appreciated

Sounds like a stomatella snail, google that and see if it's your culprit.
