Is there anything else that comes with it? It looks like it is electric. The slotted end looks like a filter of some sort. Maybe an overflow box?

What does the blue tube connect to? Is there a hole in the bigger box?

I kind of looks like a breeder box, with a built in tumbler...does it hang on the tank somehow?

I think it's a breeder box that hangs inside the tank and circulates fresh aquarium water through it via the air pump connection at the bottom of the skimmer section
