I am starting to see more and more small white "dots" appear on the shells of some of my snails, esp. the larger ones. These white dots are also appearing on the lr in some areas. They look like little hard circles. . . not spiral shaped, just small white, hard "bumps". I'd say they are about 1/16" in dia (quite small).

I introduced two clownfish to the tank after 3 wks in qt, but the white dots were there before the fish were introduced.

Any idea what these might be (typical), or should I try to get a picture?

I have two mexican turbo snails, one of which has several of these white dots, and 2 nassarius, about 4 ceriths. Recently I had a few snail deaths, still haven't figured out why.

If you couold post a pic of the "spots" it would help. Bit of a guessing game otherwise.

As far as the snail deaths, post the specs of the water parameters as well as how long you've had them and how they where acclimated.

Cheers
Steve
