Worm from the deep!

Well... not really sure what it is.. but it's definatly worm-esque.
Found it on the glass in my macro rearing tank post feed time...

worm?

That is extremely cool and the first time I've seen one here. Looks like a medusa worm from the family Synaptidae. They are actually a cucumber. Those feathers are it's tentacles used for filtering the water for food. I'll see what I can find for you. Very cool critter.

I've had one of these for forever. I could never get a picture of it, ever. mostly because my camera stinks. Rarely comes out during the day though. Thankyou so much for this ID post.

Hah! cool...always like finding something a little different.
Must have been somewhat lucky with this batch of live rock..
It was collected straight from the ocean and delivered packed in water...
I've seen another just like it in another tank that got a few larger pieces of the same rock, although I admit I just saw the crown and a tad of the body, then never saw it again.
(or is that that behind side? heh silly cukes)
