Zoanthid? Coral?

What you have is a Hydnophora coral..

I happen to have both encrusting and branching hydnophora and they look nothing like that.

Thanks for the offer, but overnight shipping from CA to PA would probably cost more than what the frag is worth. There are a few lfs around here and I can pretty much get whatever I want from them. I try to avoid buying coral online simply because the cost of overnight shipping drives up the price beyond it's worth.

As far as fragging, for branching type sps's you can just snap off a branch...that simple. The encrusting type, which is what yours looks like, the best way is to get a dremel and cut right thru it. Usually they are too thick to be able to just break off a piece.
