For what it's worth, someone from WetWebMedia said: "I'm not quite sure; you either have a specie of Hydnophora or a fragment of Pavona decussata."
Pavona looks promising.

Thanks for the offer, but overnight shipping from CA to PA would probably cost more than what the frag is worth. There are a few lfs around here and I can pretty much get whatever I want from them. I try to avoid buying coral online simply because the cost of overnight shipping drives up the price beyond it's worth.
As far as fragging, for branching type sps's you can just snap off a branch...that simple. The encrusting type, which is what yours looks like, the best way is to get a dremel and cut right thru it. Usually they are too thick to be able to just break off a piece.
