How many fish do you recommend for a 30 gallon tank?

Emerald is relatively new bout 2 weeks no problem so far, I do supplement him with small bits of shrimp to keep him occupied. I believe the rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per 10 gallons. Again depends on fish, small goby doesn't need a huge tank where as a small tang needs a gigantic tank due to the fact that they swim miles upon miles everyday in the ocean. So long story short it depends on fish and ability to control the bioload of your tank!
