It's the subject of much debate!

I've have 3 which I bought from a store that specialises in Pleco's. 2 Bristlenose in the usual colour + 1 Albino. One of the regular colours has much longer bristles compared to the other & the Albino. The store said this signifies the male.

I've looked it up online & this seems to be the case, but saying that, if he is the male, he really gets bossed around by the girls!

Not 100% sure though

Right on cue, my male (I think), made an appearance. He's much longer bristles than the other two.

I've seen some females with bristles so its not that unheard of. Either way, great looking fish!

I'm hoping they may breed if I do have a mix of sexes, so fingers crossed.
