African Lungfish - Protopterus annectens

Here are a few newer shots of my latest acquisition - a young (7 inch) Protopterus annectens. He's gotten a lot braver after a day to get acclimated to his temporary home. And they say lungfish have a face that only a mother lungfish could love!!

What is the common name for the Protopterus annectens?

African Lungfish is the common name. There are actually 4 species of lungfish from Africa (Protopterus aethiopicus, P. amphibius, P. annectens, and P. dolloi).
