So i made a box that goes over the lense of the camera so i could put it under water and take some pictures with out the glare and waves in the water. Just kinda messing around here are a few pictures.
Yeah i used acrylic. They had a small sheet of thin acrylic at menards for like 5 bucks. I got the idea from melevsreef. I can take a picture of it if you want
So its sloppy and i just made it kinda quickly but it works well. I left some hanging over the "lens" piece of acrylic so it would get scratched if we set it down. There are 4 small holes in the extra hanging over so that the air bubble can escape. Again i got the idea from melevsreef.com somewhere i just can't find the page again. so credit is all his.
ziggy- jimbo is already planning on taking a bunch of pictures of them i'm sure. i think they come on wed. (tomorrow) I really hope they are as cool as they looked in the ebay picture because they are awsome looking there.
What a great Idea -- My son will be taking a photography course when school starts again (It has already cost me $550.00 for a digital camera called a Rebel ) I think I will put him to work on this idea - Thanks
Ours is a rebel xt or something like that so i'm sure it would work for you. I like how the pictures have been turning out so far. All the best coral colors are towards the light and thats the one place its hard to take pictures so the box makes for a bunch of cool pictures it seems.
The photos look great and that is the same Camera I use... Rebel XLT! Canon has never let me down and I found out that the XLT is the most popular camera there is for a great price.
