They've certainly gotten bigger, and it looks like their tail tufts are growing in too.
How often do the degus get out?

About once a day or so they are offered a treat and they must take it from our hands. We make it so they are usually half in our hands before they can reach the treat. They are probably held only once a week--they are still quite timid about hands scooping them up.

However, the best info we found was in Degus from the Barron's Educational Series.
I brought them home Jan 25, 2005, when they were only a couple of months old.

My cousin has some, I think about 5 right now. He got some from this one store by us, they said they were both male from the same litter....umm no they aren't! lol

His had babies....twice. He had like 20 degus but the other day he got rid of mos tof them.
