It's funny, because my other two BN's eat the waters flat on the bottom, but he always gets it on it's end, then chomps down on it! I'm not sure what they put in an algae wafer but ALL my fish love them. My Angels have now worked out how to pick them up off the bottom, carry them up & bite bits off them, then letting them fall back to the bottom. Must be like catnip for fish lol :)
 
Most algae wafers are pretty much just basic fish pellets shaped/colored differently. Take a look at the ingredient list, most have fish meal as their main ingredient. I try to stick with the ones that have spirulina algae as the first ingredient.
