Looks like a majano anemone to me. PPest anemone considered to be an aiptasia on steroids. Same methods of irradication, kalk injection, vinegar injection, lemon juice injection.

I had some majano anemones just like that in my nano a while back. I also had some aiptasia, so I bought two peppermint shrimp. They ate the aiptasia and the majano anemones like they were candy.

All research I did says they do not, but I saw them eat the tank clean. I read somewhere that a certain nudibranch eats them as well.

They look too close to such a beautiful coral for comfort. I think they pack a mean sting on anything that touches them.

well i have to admit they are pretty derned cool looking but if your going to keep cprals they could sting the corals to death which is why folks like to get rid of em before they get out of hand.
