My saltwater puffer is still with me I have rearranged his tank since this, aquascaped his 40g, I'll have pics tomorrow Puff Puff has killed all of his crab friends, and made a new one- a fireworm/ bristle worm. Please don't tell me to get rid of him, I've weighed the risks/benefits, and considering this is my puffers FOWLR and I'm not trying to grow any corals, macro algae, anemones etc in this particular tank I'm sure that a 3" bristle worm is fine, I'll remove him when he can't hide anymore, I already get him to come out by holding freeze dried jumbo krill with tweezers, he's quite amusing. I also have found a couple peanut worms, an astrid, a ton of tube worms... I have added 5lbs of dead live rock and 10lbs of cured live rock since these were taken.

My Community freshwater 40g

This is still being stocked. This is a semi-aggressive/ aggressive beta community tank. So far my stock consists of 4 female betas, 1 male beta, 1 brilliant (not quite sure if that's a proper name) raspbora, 3 scissor tail raspbora, 6 oto cats and a large (5") leopard pleco. I'm planning on adding 5 blind cave tetras and 10 black neon tetras, this tank has low lighting and filtered sun. It's bare bottomed, unplanted (1 potted with java moss as a base) and heavily decorated with silk flowers, cavernous driftwood and lava rock

My 10g planted

This has become my favorite tank to zone out to- I do want to put the giant danios (3 of them) in my 20g hospital tank with my 3 gourami and get 7 pearl or purple danios or 7 cherry barbs as schoolers. My plants have grown immensely in the past 2 days, I'll post tomorrow, and yes, I have to maintain the tank everyday. It currently houses 3 giant danios, 1 male beta and a pair of fiddler crabs (they are AWESOME- yes, I take care to allow them to climb out and hang out above the filter and I have a separate plate with water treated with aquarium salt). All inhabitants have major personality, and there is nothing funnier than watching a territorial male beta and hyper fiddler crabs chasing each other around. Luckily my hearty danios know how to school around in my plants.

Thanks for sharing puffer pix. Consider the cost/benefit of adding skimmer and simple refugium.

I have a 10g tank freshly set up as a potential nano reef, right now I'm curing rocks and sand the old fashion way... I have a protein skimmer on my xmas list, but I'm also considering the natural alternatives, I do have a ton of seastars and I personally like watching puffy hunt. All rock has been cured in this tank.
